Medical-Surgical Nursing II:
This course, designed for the Practical Nursing
student, is divided into units according to the
various body systems. Each unit begins with a
general review of Anatomy and Physiology followed by
a discussion of patient assessment. Included are the
common diagnostic and a laboratory tests procedures
preformed for specific disorders according to each
unit addresses Medical-Surgical disorders with
emphasis on signs and symptoms, diagnosis,
treatments, and medications. Disorders are grouped
together to form a focal point for the nursing
process.
Personal and Vocational II:
This course, designed for the Practical Nursing
student, presents writing skills necessary for
resume writing, letters of application and
resignation. Emphasis is placed on the interviewing
process, as well as specific interview techniques
designed to enhance employment opportunities.
Practical Nursing organizations, position analysis,
as well as preparation for NCLEX-PN Examination is
included.
