| Students in the Hospitality and Hotel Management class love to plan events! For Halloween the Hospitality team coordinated a "Halloween Dining Experience." The students had to plan and design a themed menu, decorate a room, prepare and serve food for the winners. The experience involved a foggy and dark setting, illuminated by carved pumpkins and eerie noises lurking from the corners. It was a chilling experience! | Woodland Zoo Electricity Project |
| Electricity students created lighted animal displays after a fire had destroyed some of their previous displays. The project was fully funded by a friend of the Woodland Zoo who wishes to remain anonymous. While Electricity was the lead in the project while Drafting and Welding also assisted. Mr. Rossi met with the blueprint designers as well as the artist to discuss the progress of the displays. The displays were built out of 3/8" steel rods, over 5,000-100 watt bulbs, and no less than 20,000 steel ties. As well as learning teamwork the students are learning basic production skills, metal fabrication, and practical application of Ohm's Law. Click the link to view pictures. |
