Dr. Jeffreys', hired in September of 2000 as the Assistant to the Director of Vocational Education for FCAVTS, came to us from his most recent position of Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent at Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District. He was recently named Acting Director of Vocational Education for FCAVTS. He started his career as the Director/Instructor of the Electronics School at Fayette Electronics Institute. At Duff’s Business School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the Admissions Counselor/Instructor. He was the Dean of Students at South Eastern Academy, a private Aviation School. He was a Training Instructor/Manager of Management Development with USAir. There he presented the attendance policy training programs that resulted in significant absentee savings. He also produced and developed the first USAir FAA mandated drug program. |

Working for the Intermediate Unit I, He developed a Needs Assessment Survey for Drug Free Schools, Developed a Communication model for faculty, students and parents, and was a member of the Drug Free Schools Steering Committee. He possesses a B. S. in Business/Education from Pennsylvania State University, plus an M. A. in Guidance and Counseling and an Ed. D in Technology Education from West Virginia University. At West Virginia University, He assisted in the design and development of a training program on the use of Internet in the classroom. Vocational-Technical Education is the beginning of a career journey with one’s success limited only by one's motivation and desire.
