Auto Mechanics

With the continual advancements in automotive technology, the demand for skilled automotive technicians remains high. In the Automotive Mechanics Program, you will receive both classroom and hands-on instruction in the repair and maintenance of today’s cars and light trucks. Students utilize repair manuals, textbooks, and computerized equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions within a car’s many operating systems. Upon completion of the course, students may also be licensed as state safety and emissions inspection mechanics. Prospective students should possess mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to solve problems.
