Information Technology

This program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in this ever-changing and challenging field. Information Technology is an innovative program designed to introduce students to the computer systems and software most commonly used by business. Instruction and hands-on training is provided in all aspects of computers including building, repair and maintenance. Students are also trained in Microsoft Office, a highly popular software package that includes Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students experience programming by maintaining the School’s website using HTML and FrontPage. CISCO is offered in the program and prepares students for the A+ Certification test.

To keep pace with the computer information systems industry, new training options are continually added to the curriculum. Prospective students should possess the ability to think logically and solve problems, basic computer skills, good math, reading and communication skills, and have the ability to pay attention to detail.
