Agriculture/Vet Tech

This program is focused on the care, well-being, behavior, anatomy and physiology of small animals. Students will be able to explore the career opportunities currently available in the field of small animal maintenance. Careers involving but not limited to pet grooming and boarding, retail sales, animal nutrition and veterinary technician’s assistant. Also, the scientific selection of small animals as well alternative animal agriculture will be explored. Consumer concerns, animal welfare, genetics, and animal growth and development will be discussed. The reproductive process, animal diseases and animal parasites will also be covered in this course.
