The Guidance Department at the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School offers support to incoming and enrolled students in making the most of their educational opportunities. Students have support available to them through an on-staff Certified Guidance Counselors as well as a Student Support Team made up of Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School Faculty, Counselors, Administrators and external support agency personnel. Students also have the benefit of keeping in touch with their sending school through their Home School Guidance Counselors who visit or provide information on a weekly basis. The Guidance Office invites questions and offers support on a daily basis. Please feel free to contact the department during school hours, Mondays-Fridays.

Resource books and booklets are available on a large variety of personal and educational support topics. Video tape programs are available for individual and group presentations on a wide variety of topics. A library of post secondary school information as well as military and local business information is also available to students on a daily basis. Postings of contents, awards and scholarships are distributed throughout the school for students participation.
